“The Best SEO Guy in the World” blog is (obviously) a blog about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). The name of the blog is an offshoot of a page I made about 3 years ago, The Smartest Person in the World and it’s totally tongue in cheek. I do not think I’m the best SEO guy in the world OR the smartest person in the world, so please don’t take this blog title as a sign of conceit! It all really just started as a way to get my kid to let me help him with his math homework and as a goof on Google.
My name is Michael (Mic) Tienken and I’ve been building web sites since 1996 and I’ve been learning about, and practicing, SEO since 2000. Prior to November 2008 I was a partner in a larger web development company based in Minneapolis. I decided I would be happier and more productive starting my own company, Über Web Services, Inc., where I could build sites the way I think they should be built and practice SEO the way I think it should be practiced. I’ve worked with many, many companies, both very large and very small, over the last 14 years or so and I’ve learned a lot and Ive been pretty successful at it.
I decided to start this blog to catalog my thoughts and experiences pertaining to SEO. I find it a fascinating subject and an exciting line of work. It is very gratifying to be able to work with client and affect their business (hopefully for the better) so directly. If you think you could use my help. please don’t hesitate to contact me.
